You will oversee investigations, analyses, and design work, coordinating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The role requires a Bachelor's in mechanical or architectural engineering and 10+ years of experience, with NYC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or architectural engineering is required.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in designing mechanical/HVAC systems across various project types.
• Experience in NYC regulatory environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical and administrative aspects of mechanical/HVAC design services from proposal preparation to final acceptance by Client, including invoicing.
• Review site investigations and technical reports for clarity and compliance with codes.
• Lead mechanical engineering design across diverse projects with coordination across electrical, plumbing, and structural teams.
• Supervise designers/engineers to produce drawings and specifications per codes and best practices.
• Inspect contractor work to ensure adherence to contract documents and prepare summary documentation.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, vendors, consultants and authorities.
• Maintain project schedules, budgets, and staffing to ensure on-time delivery and financial performance.
• Mentor junior staff with technical guidance and process improvements.
