Plan B Climatech in New York, NY seeks a Lead Mechanical Engineer with 6–10+ years of HVAC design experience to head the mechanical discipline on major commercial and residential projects. You will own key client relationships, set technical direction, and build a team around you in a hybrid Midtown office.

The role requires leadership, strong knowledge of NYC Mechanical Code and ASHRAE standards, and a track record of delivering large projects.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6 to 10+ years HVAC design experience at an NYC MEP firm.
• PE license preferred (NY or reciprocity).
• Proven track record leading large projects and teams.
• Expert knowledge of NYC Mechanical Code and ASHRAE standards.
• Strong client facing presence and business development experience.
• Proficient with Revit-based workflows and load calculation software.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the mechanical discipline across a portfolio of projects from concept to closeout.
• Own senior client relationships with owners, developers and architects.
• Set system strategy and design standards: central plant, VRF, heat pumps, energy recovery and electrification.
• Sign and seal drawings as Engineer of Record.
• Lead QA/QC across the mechanical team.
• Manage fees, budgets, resourcing and schedules across multiple projects.
• Drive decarbonization and Local Law 97 strategies for existing buildings.
• Lead proposals, fee estimates and client presentations, and help win new work.
• Hire, mentor and develop engineers and designers.
