Job summary

Stratus Team LLC in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Project Manager II to lead a small engineering design team focused on plumbing and fire-protection systems for multifamily and mixed-use construction. This role requires directing investigations, design development, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant, constructible solutions.

You will review calculations, oversee field and office work, mentor staff, and maintain project schedules and budgets while communicating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field required.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience designing plumbing and fire-protection systems across a range of project types.
• Experience working within New York City required and Tri-State Area regulatory environments preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD for mentoring junior engineer drafting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manage plumbing and fire-protection design service opportunities from proposal preparation to final acceptance by Client, including invoice and accounts/receivable.
• Review assessment information gathered during site investigations and ensure reports are clear and accurate for Client.
• Lead plumbing/fire-protection engineering design across projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Supervise designers and engineers to produce drawings and construction documents.
• Periodically inspect work from contractors and staff and prepare summary documentation.
• Communicate with external clients, contractors, vendors, consultants, and agencies.
