Job summary

JR Automation Technologies, LLC, a Hitachi Group Company, is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineering Manager to lead and grow the Mechanical Engineering department in Holland, MI. You will supervise engineers, manage staffing and project delivery, and collaborate across design, proposal, and manufacturing phases to deliver world-class automation solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years in mechanical engineering with 2+ years leading technical projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline is required.
• Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, NX, AutoCAD) is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Mechanical Engineering department.
• Provide direct supervision and performance management for mechanical engineers and support staff.
• Manage staffing, workload, and schedules to meet project demands, budget, and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering during conception, proposal, and design phases to craft effective customer solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement within the engineering team to enhance efficiency and technical capability.
