JR Automation, a Hitachi Group Company, is hiring a Mechanical Project Engineering Manager to lead the Mechanical Engineering department onsite in Holland, MI. You will supervise engineers, manage staffing and workloads, and drive project execution across design, fabrication, and installation.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of experience including 2+ years in leadership, a mechanical engineering degree, and CAD proficiency (SolidWorks/Creo/NX/AutoCAD).

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with 2+ years leading technical projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Experience in automation industry preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% (customer sites, supplier sites, installations).

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Mechanical Engineering department.
• Supervise mechanical engineers and staff; manage staffing and workload.
• Ensure project objectives related to cost, quality, timing, and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering during conception, proposal, and design phases.
• Drive continuous improvement and provide technical guidance through lifecycle stages.
