JR Automation Technologies, LLC, a Hitachi Group Company, seeks a Mechanical Project Engineering Manager to lead the Mechanical Engineering department onsite in Holland, MI. You will mentor engineers, manage staffing, and guide projects from conception to installation, aligning cost, quality, and schedules with customer expectations.

The role requires 8+ years in mechanical engineering, 2+ years leading technical teams, and strong CAD skills (SolidWorks/Creo/NX/AutoCAD).

Qualifications

8+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
2+ years leading technical projects.
Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, NX, AutoCAD).

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop the Mechanical Engineering department.
Provide supervision and performance management for mechanical engineers and staff.
Manage staffing and workload to meet project demands, budget, and schedules.
Collaborate with Applications Engineering during conception, proposal, and design phases.
Design and develop mechanical equipment and systems meeting customer requirements.
Drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, quality, and technical capability.
Provide technical guidance throughout design, development, manufacturing, and installation.
Mentor engineers and support career progression within the department.
Lead cross-functional technical teams through project lifecycles.
