Job summary

Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead engineering projects from scope to closeout in Smyrna, GA. The role involves coordinating with clients, design teams, and operations to deliver on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate will manage staffing, budgets, schedules, and QA/QC plans while building strong client relationships and pursuing additional services with SSR. ABET-aligned engineers are preferred.

Qualifications

• Technical or Bachelor's degree with eight years related project experience or twelve years of practical experience on similar projects.
• Demonstrated, consistent ability to manage projects of various size and complexity.
• Professional Engineer Licensure preferred (required by those who have an ABET accredited degree in engineering)

Responsibilities

• Confirms the project scope and requirements with the client and other stakeholders.
• Develops a financial plan for the project by preparing the proposal letter and preliminary man‑hour budget.
• Ensures contracts are fully executed by the appropriate Principal.
• Develops the project staffing plan and preliminary man‑hour budget with CRM or Operations Director.
• Leads project kick‑off meetings to convey scope and milestones.
• Works with design team to finalize man‑hour budgets based on discipline work plans.
• Provides leadership to the internal design team and manages information flow and schedules.
• Manages project budget and tracks revenue and variances to projections.
