JR Automation, A Hitachi Group Company, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for onsite work in Lake Orion, MI. You will lead design, analysis, and testing of complex mechanical systems across Hitachi products, delivering detailed specifications and documentation while collaborating with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive mechanical design and engineering experience.
• Proven expertise in CAD software (e.g. N/X, SolidWorks, CATIA).
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles.
• Experience with manufacturing processes General Assembly or BIW assembly tooling.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design, analysis, and testing of complex mechanical components and systems for Hitachi products.
• Develop detailed engineering specifications, drawings, and documentation per standards and internal guidelines.
• Conduct advanced simulations and analyses (FEA, CFD, stress analysis) to validate designs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, software, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
• Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs and iterate as needed.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement in design processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on engineering challenges.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for successful delivery.
• Stay updated on technologies and trends in mechanical engineering and materials science.
