McKinstry in Portland, OR is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer III to join the Engineering & Design team. Engineers are known for merging innovative problem solving with practical design to deliver high-performance buildings over their entire lifetime.

You will work on HVAC design, calculations, and drafting, coordinating multiple disciplines to ensure occupant comfort and energy efficiency. A Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 3–5 years of HVAC design experience are required.

Qualificações

• 3-5 years of HVAC design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline required or equivalent work experience. Onsite construction experience welcome.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Knowledge of Revit required.
• Knowledge of other CAD/BIM tools welcome.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, VBA, Python, InDesign, IES-VE or other software tools welcome.
• Engineering in Training Certificate preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Documents project correspondence, issues, decisions and directions.
• Learns and follows McKinstry Engineering standards and procedures.
• Contributes to tasks on multiple projects and timelines concurrently.
• Manages own workload to deliver assigned tasks on time and in the budget.
• Identifies training, coaching, and support needed to complete assigned tasks.
• Develops familiarity in mechanical systems design, including calculations, airside systems, piping systems, equipment selection and multi-discipline coordination.
• Performs engineering calculations, design, and drafting tasks.
• Produces design drawings and building information models for construction.
• Pursues an understanding of the technical foundation of design activities and decisions.
