Job summary

Carlisle Construction Materials seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our Central Engineering team. Lead capital projects from concept to startup, defining scope, funding, equipment specs, and installation to transform ideas into operating manufacturing systems.

Collaborate with plant Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, EH&S, and leadership to identify challenges and deliver practical solutions that enhance manufacturing capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of industrial or manufacturing experience.
• Experience with manufacturing equipment, piping, utilities, and mechanical systems.
• Strong project management, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects from concept through startup, including scope development, funding requests, equipment specification, and installation.
• Specify, evaluate, and procure manufacturing and process equipment.
• Develop project budgets, schedules, funding requests, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, plant maintenance, and engineering resources during project execution.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and systems and develop effective solutions.
• Develop equipment specifications, RFQs, and installation requirements.
• Build strong partnerships with plant teams and equipment suppliers.
• Provide technical guidance and training to Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and EH&S teams.
• Travel to CCM facilities to support project planning, equipment installation, startups, commissioning, and training.
