Job summary

Woodgrain is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for its Towanda plant to lead capital projects and engineering improvements from concept through startup. You will partner with plant leadership, production and maintenance to solve equipment and process problems, delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, or related field).
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, including engineering design and project management.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Proven root cause failure analysis and corrective action experience.
• Effective project management, organization and leadership skills.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint; CAD and project management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design and capital/expense projects from concept through startup and commissioning.
• Define scope, schedule, resources, and costs; prepare ROI justifications.
• Manage budgets, milestones, and coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and adherence to drawings and specs.
• Provide technical support to maintenance and production; contribute to long-term plant strategy.
