Job summary

Amentum seeks a mechanical process engineer to lead design and client-facing projects across automotive and aerospace research facilities, delivering designs within scope, budget, and schedule.

You will collaborate with multi‑discipline teams, review results, prepare reports, and travel to project sites as needed.

Requirements include a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, 5+ years design experience, and US citizenship due to federal work.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited school.
• Minimum 5 years engineering design experience; 2–3 years with MS acceptable.
• Experience with process piping systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams to develop process system designs for automotive and aerospace facilities.
• Own technical schedule and budget performance for assigned work.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and clients.
• Coordinate with multi‑discipline engineers and suppliers; travel to sites as needed.
