Job summary

Amentum seeks a Mechanical Engineer 3 to join our Denver office, performing design, analysis and verification on complex electronic and mechanical systems. You will lead portions of projects, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and develop technical documentation.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's in engineering, 5 years of experience, strong communication and analytical skills, and the ability to travel. Security clearance may be required; US citizenship required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of job-related experience or equivalent.
• Good communications and analytical skills.
• Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software applications.
• Position may require travel.
• Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
• US Citizen only. Dual Citizens are not allowed.

Responsibilities

• Perform design development, analysis or review tasks under minimal supervision.
• Lead on less complex tasks and manage portions of a design or analysis.
• Generate complete design specifications for complex projects.
• Coordinate with engineering, logistics, finance, and program management to define system requirements.
• Maintain filing systems or databases for tracking project status.
• Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and subsystem specifications.
• Interface with customers from quotation to design and test activities.
• Conduct site visits, investigations, analyze problems, propose solutions.
• Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
• Support development of technical proposals and provide comments on scope.
