Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Lead Mechanical Project Manager to be based in South Dakota. The role leads mechanical activities on large-scale data center projects, coordinating design, construction, commissioning, and turnover with clients and stakeholders.

You will manage integration of mechanical systems, align with project objectives, monitor performance, and work with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver on time and on budget in a dynamic, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Fifteen years in Construction.
• Knowledge of MEP systems, electrical distribution, cooling infrastructure, and critical facility operations.
• Experience managing mechanical scopes in excess of $100M in construction value.

Responsibilities

• Manages all mechanical activities associated with assigned project including pre-construction, design, phased construction, closeout coordination, commissioning, start-up and occupancy and warranty enforcement.
• Serve as the primary mechanical point of contact between the client, GC’s, EPC’s, AECOM staff and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate mechanical milestones with electrical, civil, architectural, and commissioning teams.
• Review and provide comments on submitted Pay Applications.
• Work with client’s OFCI firm to review and document condition of off-site stored mechanical equipment including insurances and bill of sale for Owner supporting pay application review and approval.
