Job summary

JCM Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial mechanical and plumbing construction projects across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC.

This role will own procurement, submittals, schedules, budgets, BIM coordination, and field execution, working directly with field foremen and clients. You will oversee large-scale data centers, hospitals, federal facilities, and high-rise developments, with project values from $15M to $200M+.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in mechanical and/or plumbing construction.
• Field or trades background is a significant advantage and often valued.
• Prior GC experience is welcomed and valued when paired with MEP ownership and field execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead project buyout: scope packages, vendor selection, purchase orders, subcontract awards, and procurement log ownership.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, design changes, and closeout documentation with technical ownership.
• Lead change orders: pricing, submission, tracking, and ensuring budget integrity.
• Develop and maintain project schedules; own budgets, forecasts, and cash flow; monitor cost-to-complete.
• Coordinate BIM coordination and prefabrication efforts to align with timelines.
• Maintain full field oversight with on-site presence and coordination with field leadership.
• Coordinate commissioning, startup, and turnover activities; ensure owner trainings and sign-offs.
• Serve as primary client contact, managing relationships and communicating issues early.
