Job summary

JCM Associates, a family-owned mechanical and plumbing contractor in the DC Metro area, seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support delivery of large-scale MEP projects across MD, VA, and DC. You will work closely with a PM and field foreman, owning deliverables on site and growing toward a PM role.

Responsibilities include submittals, RFIs, procurement, scheduling, BIM coordination, and field coordination.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical and plumbing PM, project engineering, or related construction roles.
• Experience with mechanical or plumbing contractors, GC, or MEP subs preferred.
• Trades background is a strong plus for advancement into PM.

Responsibilities

• Oversee submittals, RFIs, and document control for mechanical and plumbing packages.
• Track equipment, procurement, and log major equipment milestones with PM input.
• Assist with planning, scheduling, cost forecasting, and budget tracking with the PM/Foreman.
• Support BIM coordination, model reviews, and fabrication scheduling.
• Coordinate field activities, site visits, and subcontractor communications.
• Assist with closeout, warranties, and startup documentation.
