Job summary

H&G Systems in Dallas–Fort Worth, TX seeks a Mechanical Welding Superintendent to lead field operations on complex commercial and industrial piping projects. You will direct pipefitters, welders, foremen, and field crews from planning to completion, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in piping/welding, 5+ years in field leadership, a current 6G certification, and the ability to read blueprints and weld maps.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial or industrial piping/welding experience.
• 5+ years of field leadership as Foreman or Superintendent.
• Current 6G Welding Certification.
• Ability to read blueprints and weld maps.
• Strong safety, quality control, and teamwork.
• Valid driver's license with insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations for commercial and industrial piping projects.
• Direct and develop pipefitters, welders, foremen, and field personnel.
• Plan manpower, equipment, materials, and daily work activities to meet project schedules.
• Coordinate piping activities with project managers, general contractors, other trades, and field leadership.
• Read and interpret blueprints, piping drawings, specifications, weld maps, and other project documents.
• Oversee piping layout, fabrication, installation, welding, testing, and system completion.
• Monitor field productivity, quality, and schedule performance.
• Ensure piping installations meet project specifications, applicable codes, and H&G quality standards.
• Maintain a strong safety culture and hold crews accountable for safe work practices.
• Identify field conflicts and constructability issues early and work with project leadership to develop solutions.
• Communicate manpower, material, equipment, and scheduling needs to project leadership.
• Mentor foremen and craft professionals while helping develop the next generation of field leaders
