Job summary

H&G Systems in Dallas–Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Sheet Metal Superintendent to lead field operations on major commercial and industrial projects. You will oversee multiple sites, manage crews, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate with project teams to meet schedule targets.

The ideal candidate has extensive sheet metal installation experience, strong leadership, and the ability to read blueprints and SMACNA standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial/industrial sheet metal installation and fabrication experience
• 3+ years of leadership experience as Leadman, Foreman, Superintendent, or similar role
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC ductwork systems and SMACNA standards
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and field crews simultaneously
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, shop drawings, and mechanical plans
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record

What You'll Do

As a Sheet Metal Superintendent, you will oversee multiple projects while ensuring quality workmanship, workforce productivity, safety compliance, and successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage sheet metal operations across multiple commercial and industrial construction projects
• Oversee manpower planning, workforce allocation, scheduling, and production goals
• Coordinate with project managers, foremen, fabrication teams, and subcontractors to ensure project success
• Verify installations meet project specifications, drawings, quality standards, and SMACNA requirements
• Monitor project progress and proactively resolve field-related issues
• Coordinate material procurement, fabrication schedules, and jobsite logistics
• Conduct site visits to ensure safety, quality, and productivity expectations are met
• Mentor and develop foremen, lead installers, and field personnel
• Support hiring, training, and workforce development initiatives
• Maintain strong communication with customers, project teams, and company leadership

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial and industrial sheet metal installation and fabrication experience

• Strong understanding of fabrication processes and shop-to-field coordination
