Job summary

H&G Systems in Dallas–Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Sheet Metal Superintendent to lead field operations on major commercial and industrial projects. You will oversee multiple sites, manage crews, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate with project teams to meet schedule targets.

The ideal candidate has extensive sheet metal installation experience, strong leadership, and the ability to read blueprints and SMACNA standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial/industrial sheet metal installation and fabrication experience
• 3+ years of leadership experience as Leadman, Foreman, Superintendent, or similar role
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC ductwork systems and SMACNA standards
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and field crews simultaneously
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, shop drawings, and mechanical plans
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple sheet metal projects across commercial and industrial sites
• Plan manpower, scheduling, and production goals
• Coordinate with project managers, foremen, fabrication teams, and subcontractors
• Ensure installations meet project specs and SMACNA standards
• Monitor progress and resolve field-related issues
• Coordinate material procurement and fabrication schedules
• Conduct site visits to verify safety, quality, and productivity
• Mentor foremen and field personnel, support hiring and training
• Maintain communication with customers and leadership
