H&G Systems in Dallas-Fort Worth is seeking a Mechanical Welding Superintendent to lead field operations on complex commercial and industrial piping projects. You will direct pipefitters, welders, foremen, and field crews, planning manpower, equipment, and daily activities to meet schedules.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in piping and 5+ years in field leadership, plus a current 6G welding certification. You will coordinate with project management and other trades while upholding safety,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial/industrial piping experience.
• 5+ years leading field crews (foreman/superintendent).
• Current 6G Welding Certification.
• Proficient reading blueprints and weld maps.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations for commercial and industrial piping projects.
• Direct and develop pipefitters, welders, foremen, and other field personnel.
• Plan manpower, equipment, materials, and daily activities to meet schedules.
• Coordinate piping activities with PMs, GCs, and other trades.
• Read blueprints, piping drawings, weld maps, and specs.
• Oversee piping layout, fabrication, installation, welding, testing, and completion.
• Monitor productivity, quality, and schedule performance.
• Ensure installations meet codes and company standards.
• Maintain a strong safety culture and accountability.
• Mentor foremen and craft professionals; develop future field leaders.

Mechanical Welding Superintendent

H&G Systems is hiring an experienced Mechanical Welding Superintendent to lead field operations on complex commercial and industrial mechanical projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Since 1968, H&G Systems has built a reputation for delivering high-quality HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems across Texas. Our teams take on complex, fast-paced projects where strong field leadership, craftsmanship, coordination, and accountability matter.

We're looking for a proven piping professional who can lead crews, drive production, maintain high safety and quality standards, and take ownership of field execution from planning through completion.

What You'll Do

• Lead field operations for commercial and industrial mechanical piping projects
• Direct and develop pipefitters, welders, foremen, and other field personnel
• Plan manpower, equipment, materials, and daily work activities to meet project schedules
• Coordinate piping activities with project managers, general contractors, other trades, and field leadership
• Read and interpret blueprints, piping drawings, specifications, weld maps, and other project documents
• Oversee piping layout, fabrication, installation, welding, testing, and system completion
• Monitor field productivity, quality, and schedule performance
• Ensure piping installations meet project specifications, applicable codes, and H&G quality standards
• Maintain a strong safety culture and hold crews accountable for safe work practices
• Identify field conflicts and constructability issues early and work with project leadership to develop solutions
• Communicate manpower, material, equipment, and scheduling needs to project leadership
• Mentor foremen and craft professionals while helping develop the next generation of field leaders

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of commercial or industrial piping/welding experience
• 5+ years of field leadership experience as a Foreman, General Foreman, Superintendent, or similar position
• Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial mechanical piping systems
• Current 6G Welding Certification
• Strong stick and MIG welding knowledge and proficiency
• Ability to read blueprints, piping drawings, weld maps, and project specifications
• Proven ability to plan manpower, lead crews, and maintain field productivity
• Strong understanding of jobsite safety, quality control, and piping installation standards
• Ability to coordinate effectively with project management, other trades, and field personnel
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
