Job summary

Stinson LLP seeks an experienced patent agent to join the patent prosecution group within its Intellectual Property and Technology Division. You will draft and prosecute U.S.

and foreign patent applications, providing patentability assessments, and assisting with freedom-to-operate and due diligence analyses. The role requires at least 5 years of patent preparation and prosecution experience, exceptional writing and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with supervising partners

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of patent preparation and prosecution experience.
• Experience managing patent prosecution docket and ownership over applications.

Responsibilities

• Draft and globally prosecute patent applications.
• Coordinate with foreign law firms to file foreign patents.
• Coordinate with clients for processing and legalization of documents for filing.
• Review country requirements and obtain Foreign Filing Licenses when needed.
• Prepare notices to clients about deadlines.
• Meet billable hour target of 1650 per year.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
