Zusammenfassung

Jabil is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to develop and maintain CAD models, BOMs, and engineering docs for mechanical assemblies, ensuring manufacturability and reliability. You will lead process development, tooling design, and production readiness while collaborating across engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain.

You will drive PFMEA, line balancing, and ergonomic improvements, supporting new products from design to production.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related engineering field; master’s preferred.
• Typically 5 to 8 years of relevant industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, mechanical integration, or production support experience.
• Experience supporting complex products, processes, workcells, or manufacturing environments.
• Practical understanding of mechanical manufacturing and assembly processes (sheet-metal, welded structures, machined components).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, BOMs, specs, and manufacturing documentation.

Aufgaben

• Plan, develop, sustain, and improve assembly processes for mechanical products, subassemblies, frames, structures, panels, enclosures, and mounting solutions.
• Evaluate product flow, material delivery, storage, line feed methods, WIP levels, buffer requirements and workstation layout.
• Perform process mapping, time studies, work measurement, capacity analysis, and line balancing to improve throughput and cost.
• Design and improve ergonomic workstations, fixtures, tools, and layout.
• Use CAD tools to review, develop, and update models, drawings, and data packs for manufacturability and production readiness.
• Provide DFM and DFA input for machined parts, sheet-metal components, welded structures, fasteners and assemblies.
• Support the creation and maintenance of manufacturing documentation, work instructions, process flows, layouts, equipment requirements and BOMs.
• Coordinate manufacturing trials, process validation, equipment qualification, and production readiness for new/modified processes.
• Resolve manufacturing issues with production personnel and suppliers; monitor process performance and implement improvements.
• Lead cross-functional improvement projects within the product area.
