Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer SME to lead Large Form Assembly (LFA) mechanical manufacturing across NPI, ramp, and sustaining production. You will architect, sustain, and optimize processes to ensure safety, quality, and cost objectives while driving robust DFx methodologies.

You will manage documentation, PFMEA, risk assessments, and tolerance analyses, collaborating with Industrial, Electrical, Controls, Quality, and Test teams to improve assembly flow and operator

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering and 7+ years of related experience.
• Experience leading DFM/DFA initiatives and process optimization projects.
• Experience developing PFMEA and risk mitigation strategies.
• Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and GD&T.
• Hands-on with large-form mechanical assemblies and torque-controlled processes.
• Experience with MES and NPI/ramp-up environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and control of mechanical manufacturing documentation (work instructions, drawings, SOPs).
• Perform DFM/DFA reviews during NPI to optimize manufacturability and serviceability.
• Develop PFMEA, risk assessments, and tackle assembly risk areas.
• Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to improve flow and reduce defects.
• Provide hands-on support for mechanical build issues and equipment commissioning.
