Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design and integration for complex hardware platforms from concept through production release. You will own key mechanical deliverables and drive issue resolution to ensure performance, quality, cost, manufacturability, and serviceability.

You will partner with suppliers, operations, and manufacturing teams to optimize design for manufacturability and drive engineering best practices across the mechanical function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Master's preferred
• Proficient in CAD tools and tolerance analysis techniques
• Experience with electronics or complex hardware products is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design activities for enclosures, chassis, and related assemblies across development phases.
• Own critical mechanical deliverables including proposals, tolerance analysis, structural studies, and release readiness.
• Drive root cause analysis during prototypes, validation, and ramp to production.
• Provide technical leadership in design reviews and align with system architecture and thermal needs.
• Collaborate with suppliers, operations, and manufacturing to improve manufacturability, quality, and cost.
