Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Regional Manufacturing Engineering Lead to bring SME-level expertise across manufacturing processes, provide DFM and NPI support, and lead technical issue resolution through design, statistics, and cross-functional collaboration. This role is remote and requires up to 75% travel within the United States, with preferred hubs in Memphis, Prince George, and Salisbury.

You will implement and support processes, train staff, lead line installations, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Experience: 10 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
Must be a SME in implementing new manufacturing lines.
Preferred Large Form Factor Assembly experience.
Relentless in exploring new methods to improve assembly techniques.
Lead Process and Equipment Evaluation aligned to site needs.
Knowledge in Basic Statistics and DOE is a plus.
Understanding of DFM/A, FMEA and IPC requirements.
Able to write technical reports and instructions for the site.
Ability to train and lead others; strong project management skills.

Responsibilities

Serve as the functional expert for the manufacturing area assigned.
Coordinate and facilitate training for the plant, including new hires and upgrades.
Coordinate and facilitate new line installations and end-to-end manufacturing enablement.
Provide support to users and department SMEs; maintain process documentation.
Drive continuous improvement through trend analysis and metrics management.
Identify and implement best-in-field practices and cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure 100% adherence to Health, Safety and Quality policies.
