Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment (aerospace/defense/medical devices/complex electronics).
• Own a product in manufacturing from start to finish; coordinate among internal/external parties for on-time deliveries.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and lead root-cause analysis.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Ability to read/interpet complex drawings, GD&T, and specs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical resource for the manufacturing floor, interfacing between design engineering and production operations.
• Investigate and resolve line-down situations, defects, and process deviations to minimize downtime and maintain schedule.
• Lead NCRs and MRB activities for production-related defects; determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Provide clear interpretation of engineering drawings, specs, and work instructions to production teams.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing work instructions, assembly guides, and SOPs; manage within MES.
• Implement ECNs on the floor, update docs, coordinate tooling changes, and train operators.
• Provide technical guidance to technicians; collaborate with engineers on prototype hardware for testing.
• Monitor metrics (yield, throughput, scrap, labor hours) and lead improvement projects.
• Collaborate on workstation/line layout design to enhance ergonomics, safety, and efficiency.
• Embed DFM features in product design with design engineers.
