Job summary

Anduril Industries in Quincy, MA seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to own the manufacturing process for US Maritime energetic payloads for state-of-the-art Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs). You will manage DFM, tool design/selection, process creation, supplier capability, quality planning, and work documentation.

Qualifications

• BS or higher degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace, or another engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 50% of the time.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Experience with LEAN manufacturing and DFMEA/PFMEA.

Responsibilities

• Lead the NPI manufacturing development process for a suite of Maritime munition products.
• Collaborate with energetics and product engineering teams to drive DFX into munition system design (sensors, payload interfaces, electronics, fuses, and effectors).
• Develop and optimize end-to-end production processes to achieve capacity, reliability, and safety targets.
• Oversee explosive and subsea service providers on outsourced assembly/test operations.
• Own the generation and refinement of MBOMs, MES Routings, and Work Instructions.
• Project manage production milestones including test validation, equipment bring up, delivery, and sustainment.
• Apply LEAN methods to improve processes and reduce defects.
• Coordinate with EHS, Quality, Logistics, and Supply Chain to meet production goals.
• Create control plans based on up-to-date DFMEA and PFMEAs.
