Anduril Industries is seeking a senior manufacturing engineer to own mechanical systems for the Dive-XL line at our Rhode Island campus. You will lead root-cause analysis, sponsor changes on the floor, and design fixtures and tooling to enable first article through rate production.

You will mentor engineers, work with design, supply chain, and quality teams, and travel to the Sydney factory as needed. The role requires deep mechanical/product assembly experience and the ability to communicate at

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing or industrial engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing or production engineering on complex mechanical hardware; or 3+ years with advanced degree.
• Proven ownership of a product or major assembly in production from start to finish.
• Root cause analysis using 5 Whys, fishbone or 8D with corrective actions.
• Lean and continuous improvement projects on a production line.
• Ability to read complex drawings with GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Experience with ERP/PLM/MES BOMs and routings (e.g., Oracle or Teamcenter).
• 3D CAD for fixture and tooling design; Siemens NX preferred, SolidWorks or Creo accepted.
• Able to explain problems to a technician and to a program manager quickly.
• Eligible for US Secret security clearance.

Mansioni

• Lead root cause on assembly problems, deviations, tooling failures and nonconforming parts; build fixes into the process.
• Be the first contact for technicians on mechanical build issues and resolve line-down problems quickly.
• Cut in engineering changes on the floor: update BOMs in Teamcenter and routings in ArsenalOS; manage WIP.
• Own work instructions and SOPs for assemblies so a technician can build from them.
• Design fixtures, lifting equipment and tooling for large structures in NX; print jigs in-house.
• Track yield, throughput, scrap and labor hours; lead projects to fix trends.
• Layout workstations and material flow; procure and commission heavy equipment and robotics.
• Drive DFM and DFA with design team before drawings release; push back on unbuildable features.
• Use AI coding tools to build Python scripts, dashboards and small apps.
• Mentor early-career engineers and technicians on build methods.
• Travel to Sydney factory when needed.
