Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a senior manufacturing engineer to own mechanical build processes on the Dive-XL line at our Rhode Island campus. You will lead root-cause investigations, set up production from first article through rate production, and collaborate with design, supply chain, quality and floor technicians.

You will drive fixture/tooling design in NX, update BOMs and routings, and mentor early-career engineers while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing or industrial engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing or production engineering experience on complex mechanical hardware (aerospace/defense/heavy equipment/medical devices) or 3+ years with advanced degree.
• Owned a product/major assembly in production, from start to finish, with suppliers and internal teams.
• Root cause analysis using 5 Whys, fishbone or 8D with effective corrective actions.
• Lean and continuous improvement projects led on a production line.
• Reading complex drawings and specifications with strong GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• 3D CAD for fixture and tooling design; Siemens NX preferred, SolidWorks or Creo accepted.
• Explain problems clearly to technicians and program managers alike.
• Eligible to obtain/maintain active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead root cause on assembly problems, deviations, tooling failures and nonconforming parts; implement fixes in the process.
• Be first point of contact for technicians on mechanical build issues to resolve line-down situations.
• Update manufacturing BOMs and routings in Teamcenter/ArsenalOS; brief technicians on changes.
• Own work instructions and SOPs so a technician can build from them unaided.
• Design fixtures and tooling for large structures; print jigs to cut cycle time and improve ergonomics.
• Track yield, throughput, scrap and labor; drive projects to address trends.
• Layout workstations and material flow; specify and commission heavy equipment and automation.
• Drive DFM/DFA with design teams and push back on unbuildable features.
