Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Industrial Maintenance Technician III to join our team in Lafayette, Indiana. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial equipment and automated systems in a large industrial environment.

Overtime and variable hours may be required. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, performing preventive maintenance via CMMS, and conducting root-cause

Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance experience of 3 years or 2-year degree in related field.
• Experience maintaining industrial equipment, buildings, or facilities.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment drug test.
• Authorized to work in the United States and able to obtain client security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial automated equipment including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Follow safety procedures (JHA, LOTO, PPE) and perform preventive maintenance using the CMMS system.
• Respond to work orders, communicate status, and implement repair actions.
• Conduct root-cause analysis on machine failures involving electrical controls or software/logic issues.
• Read and interpret electrical/mechanical schematics and use diagnostic tools to complete repairs.
• Maintain flexibility to meet production priorities and perform additional duties as required.
