Job summary

Rocky Mountain Steel Mills is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Supervisor with a strong mechanical background to lead maintenance operations in a heavy steel facility. You will supervise a team of mechanical and electrical technicians, drive reliability initiatives, and partner with Production and Engineering to maximize equipment uptime.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in heavy industry and a proven track record in maintenance leadership, RCFA, and capital-project execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in heavy manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience leading maintenance teams in 24/7 operations.
• Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive, and RCFA maintenance practices.
• Experience with rolling mills, electric arc furnaces, or continuous casting environments preferred.
• Ability to manage capital projects and major equipment installations.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance safety programs and ensure OSHA, LOTO, hot work, and fall protection compliance.
• Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting, repair, and upgrade of mechanical systems.
• Oversee hydraulic, pneumatic, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and rotating equipment maintenance.
• Coordinate outages, shutdowns, and major maintenance projects to minimize downtime.
• Direct emergency responses and ensure preventive and predictive maintenance execution.
• Drive RCFA and reliability initiatives to improve asset life and accuracy.
• Mentor and manage maintenance personnel; support apprenticeship programs.
• Optimize planning, scheduling, and CMMS effectiveness to support goals.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Reliability, and Electrical teams on capital works.
