Job summary

Rocky Mountain Steel Mills seeks an Industrial Maintenance Supervisor, Mechanical to lead maintenance operations within a heavy industrial steel facility. Focus on mechanical systems, asset reliability, and uptime, supervising a team of mechanical and electrical technicians while partnering with Production, Engineering, Reliability, and Safety teams to drive operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred or 7 years of equivalent mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience in heavy industrial maintenance and 24/7 manufacturing operations.
• Proven leadership in maintenance supervision and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety programs and ensure OSHA/LOTO/hot work/confined space compliance.
• Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting, repair, and upgrades of mechanical systems.
• Oversee maintenance of hydraulic, pneumatic, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, cranes, hoists, and rotating equipment.
• Coordinate outages, shutdowns, and major maintenance projects to minimize downtime.
• Direct resources during emergency breakdowns and ensure preventive/predictive maintenance execution.
• Drive RCFA, continuous improvement, and reliability initiatives.
• Develop and mentor maintenance personnel and apprentices.
• Optimize labor, contractor performance, planning, scheduling, and CMMS effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Reliability, and Electrical/Automation teams on capital projects.
• Maintain documentation and promote accountability and operational excellence.
