Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced Mechanical Lead in Midland, TX for a hybrid role requiring in-office work three days per week. Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Mechanical Engineering degree required.
• PE license preferred to enhance leadership and project execution.
• 5+ years in mechanical design for heavy industrial plants (power/oil&gas/chemical).
• Ability to lead a design team and coordinate multiple solutions for clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead a mechanical team and coordinate detailed design phases.
• Develop integrated mechanical system designs for power, oil & gas facilities, and CO2/CCUS projects.
• Prepare and review equipment sizing, BOMs, specs, and line lists.
• Review piping isometrics, plans, and elevations; support technical reports.
• Mentor junior engineers and liaise with clients and vendors.
• Travel to client/vendor sites for reviews and site coordination as needed.
