Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer for Low Voltage switchgear to drive mechanical engineering from concept to production release. You will own the design of LV switchgear, enclosures, busbar systems, and thermal management, ensuring compliance with UL, IEC, NEMA, and customer requirements.

The role demands deep leadership across global teams, DFx initiatives, and robust verification through tests and simulations to achieve cost, quality, and manufacturability targets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience, including 5+ years in LV switchgear or power distribution.

Responsibilities

• Own the mechanical design and architecture of LV switchgear, switchboards, MCCs, and power distribution equipment.
• Translate customer requirements into engineering specifications and design deliverables.
• Lead enclosure architecture, compartmentalization, and serviceability concepts for safety and reliability.
• Lead thermal engineering activities including CFD, temperature rise, and thermal validation testing.
