Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Business Class Lead to guide a team of engineers and designers on complex building projects in Houston.

You will oversee multi-disciplinary design efforts and ensure quality, schedule, and budget alignment across Healthcare, Technology, Education, Science, Justice, and Water Treatment sectors. The role demands leadership, mentorship, and hands-on involvement in marketing pursuits, client relations, and workflow optimization to deliver integrated design solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• 10 years of experience.
• Professional engineering registration and related technical experience.
• Active participant in HDR's employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership to the mechanical team on projects.
• Coordinate design work of mechanical engineers and designers within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Manage production, profitability, scheduling and marketing support for the section.
• Lead and coordinate services with other sections and participate in project reviews.
