Job summary

AECOM in Denver, CO is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support design and construction of buildings within the Buildings + Places business line. The role focuses on HVAC, plumbing and fire protection for federal and commercial projects.

The engineer will design in 2D AutoCAD and 3D REVIT, review calculations, mentor junior staff, and help prepare technical documents and reports for clients and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 2+ years designing HVAC and plumbing for commercial, institutional, and light industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Design plumbing, fire protection and HVAC systems.
• Review HVAC calculations and prepare design concepts and layouts.
• Prepare concepts for modelling/drafting by staff.
• Contribute to technical documents, calculations and drawings.
• Mentor junior staff and support project delivery.
• Prepare written reports for technical and non-technical audiences.
