Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking an experienced field Foreman to oversee mechanical construction activities on utility-scale solar and BESS projects in Iowa. You will coach crews, manage daily production, and ensure quality and safety on site.

You will interpret drawings, coordinate equipment, and work closely with the Superintendent to meet project schedules. Travel to diverse jobsites is required, and bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years’ experience in the solar or related construction industry.
• Bi-lingual – Spanish/English preferred.
• Experience reading and interpreting specifications and drawings.
• Strong supervision and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to different jobsites on short notice.
• Outdoor work in various weather conditions; safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accurate clock in/out of assigned team members.
• Submit Foreman Daily Reports to Superintendent.
• Oversee multiple mechanical construction activities (e.g., tracker systems, installation of equipment).
• Set and oversee production goals; track daily production.
• Preplan daily activities and ensure crew productivity to meet schedule.
• Monitor quality control and ensure proper materials and tooling are available.
• Coordinate equipment needs and ensure operators are qualified.
• Support Superintendent to coordinate project activities across the site.
• Lead and coach team members; manage performance.
