You will review blueprints, specifications, and proposals to produce competitive bids, manage risk, and support project budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of mechanical estimating experience in construction.
• Proven experience with retrofit, sheet metal, HVAC, plumbing, estimating, bidding, and budgeting.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction methods.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and negotiation skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills for managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed mechanical estimates by analyzing blueprints, specs, proposals, and docs.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather estimating information.
• Use HVAC, plumbing, and sheet metal expertise to provide cost estimates.
• Develop relationships with suppliers and subcontractors for competitive pricing.
• Prepare and submit bids ensuring deadlines are met.
• Conduct risk analysis and provide mitigation strategies.
• Participate in negotiation and award process for subcontractors.
• Review design options and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Assist in preparing budgets and project schedules.
• Participate in project meetings with cost updates.
