Job summary

Delivered Talent Group is seeking an experienced HVAC mechanical estimator in Phoenix to lead detailed cost estimates for a range of projects, from small tenant improvements to large industrial builds.

You will review drawings, specs, and scopes, perform takeoffs, and coordinate with PMs, engineers, and field teams to ensure competitive bids and accurate budgets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years HVAC mechanical estimating experience.
• Ability to estimate projects of varying size and complexity.
• Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, specs, and construction methods.
• Proficiency with Trimble, FastPIPE, QuoteSoft, or similar tools.
• Strong Excel, communication, and analytical skills.
• Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed HVAC mechanical estimates for projects ranging from small TI work to large industrial and institutional builds.
• Review plans, specs, and scopes to determine materials, labor, and subcontractor needs.
• Perform quantity takeoffs, cost breakdowns, and full mechanical/piping budgets.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams throughout preconstruction and turnover.
• Solicit, compare, and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes.
• Support proposal development, value engineering, and schedule input.
• Participate in bid reviews, clarifications, and post‑bid negotiations.
• Stay current with market pricing, labor trends, and material costs to maintain competitive bids.
