Confidential Employer, a seasoned mechanical construction firm in the Denver metro area, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator to lead complex estimates for multimillion-dollar projects. You will analyze drawings, P&IDs, and bid documents, develop detailed takeoffs, and craft competitive proposals with the preconstruction team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of mechanical construction estimating experience.
• Strong process piping estimating experience, including P&IDs and layouts.
• Experience independently leading complex mechanical estimates and bid proposals.
• Proficiency in reading drawings and preparing detailed labor, material, and equipment estimates.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, field conditions, and project schedules.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed estimates and competitive bids for multimillion-dollar mechanical construction projects.
• Estimate process piping, plumbing, HVAC, hydronic, and sheet metal systems.
• Analyze drawings, P&IDs, schematics, specifications, and bid documents.
• Prepare accurate material takeoffs, labor estimates, equipment costs, and complete bid packages.
• Evaluate subcontractor and equipment quotes to develop competitive pricing.
• Collaborate with purchasing, project management, and construction teams to develop winning proposals.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to project planning.

Qualifications

• Strong process piping estimating experience, including P&IDs, system layouts, and technical specifications.
• Experience independently leading complex mechanical construction estimates and bid proposals.
• Proficiency in reading construction drawings and preparing detailed labor, material, and equipment estimates.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, field conditions, and project schedules.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Experience with QuickPen, AutoBid, or Bluebeam is a plus.
• Additional HVAC, plumbing, and sheet metal estimating knowledge is highly valued.
