Job summary

Confidential Employer in the Denver metro area is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join our established team. You will develop detailed cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, and piping, read drawings, and prepare competitive bids for commercial and industrial projects.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of mechanical construction estimating experience in HVAC, plumbing, or process piping.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Experience estimating material, labor, and equipment costs.
• Understanding of mechanical construction methods, field conditions, and project schedules.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.
• Experience with healthcare, laboratory, institutional, or industrial projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial and industrial HVAC, plumbing, and piping projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to identify project requirements.
• Calculate material, equipment, and labor costs to develop accurate pricing.
• Independently manage estimates for projects up to $1 million and collaborate with senior estimators on larger opportunities.
• Prepare competitive bid proposals for general contractors and project owners.
• Manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
• Collaborate with project teams to evaluate construction methods, project schedules, and cost-saving opportunities.
