Job summary

RTX is seeking a Section Leader in Tucson, AZ for the Test Solutions Engineering Center. You will lead a Mechanical Engineering team through design, verification, and production readiness for customer deliveries.

You will set goals, conduct performance reviews, and mentor staff while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to drive program success and uphold RTX values of trust, respect, collaboration, innovation and accountability.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and at least eight years of professional mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
• Experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Active DoD issued Secret Clearance.
• Leadership experience.
• Experience presenting to leadership and peers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 10–20 person mechanical engineering team across lifecycle design to production.
• Set meaningful goals, conduct performance reviews and mentor staff.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to test, operate and troubleshoot systems.
• Perform health checks on programs and engage with program managers and chief engineers.
• Oversee onboarding of new section personnel.
• Work on-site in Tucson, AZ.
