Job summary

Terrestrial Energy, a US developer of advanced Generation IV nuclear reactors, is expanding its Charlotte HQ with a Systems Engineer. You will develop and coordinate IMSR system requirements, interfaces, and verification plans across engineering teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

The role emphasizes requirements management, interface control, and documentation, with collaboration across disciplines to advance IMSR reactor systems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in design, analysis, or systems integration roles.
• Experience with requirements management and interface control.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• Nuclear industry experience preferred.
• Professional Engineer certification (PE) desired or eligibility.
• Exposure to MBSE is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage system requirements for IMSR systems and subsystems.
• Perform requirements decomposition, allocation, and traceability.
• Develop and maintain system descriptions, functional breakdowns, and architecture documentation.
• Identify, document, and track assumptions, constraints, and design decisions.
• Support configuration management activities and change impact assessments.
