Job summary

Greenpoint Technologies seeks an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to create complex VIP aircraft interior components and mechanisms using CAD tools. You will select materials, optimize designs with manufacturing, and ensure compliance with FAA requirements and budget schedules.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least 8 years of relevant aviation experience, including aircraft interior work.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering and 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Aviation background and aircraft interior experience are required.

Responsibilities

Designs complex monuments and mechanisms for VIP aircraft interiors, including cabinets, bulkheads, lavatories, tables and divans.
Analyzes subsystem and project specifications to ensure design integrity and compliance with FAA requirements.
Selects materials based on structural needs and supplier qualifications; evaluates trade-offs to meet cost targets.
Optimizes designs with Manufacturing Engineers to reduce parts, costs and assembly errors.
Ensures BOMs, fabrication specs, and assembly concepts align with customer criteria and quality standards.
Maintains state-of-the-art knowledge of mechanical design practices and tools; develops innovative solutions.
Supports test setups and prepares test reports as part of validation activities.
