Job summary

Greenpoint Technologies, Inc. seeks a senior mechanical design engineer to create complex VIP aircraft interiors and structures using CAD tools to meet customer criteria, quality standards, FAA requirements, budget and schedules.

You will design interiors such as ceilings, sidewalls, OEM mods, flooring and related components, select materials, evaluate trade-offs, and collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to optimize for cost and quality while meeting BOM and fabrication specifications.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering; aviation background and aircraft interior experience required.
Strong CAD skills (3D Inventor preferred and 2D AutoCAD) with knowledge of manufacturing methods.
Ability to apply design-for-manufacturing concepts and material selection principles.

Responsibilities

Design complex mechanical aircraft interiors and structures such as ceilings, sidewalls, OEM mods, flooring and related systems.
Analyze subsystem and project specifications and select materials based on structural needs.
Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to reduce parts count and manufacturing costs.
Ensure designs meet FAA requirements, budgets and project schedules.
Provide design guidance, support test setups, and maintain documentation per BOM and specs.
