Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design, develop and sustain complex test environment systems for Raytheon Missile Defense products. You will work onsite in Tucson, mentor engineers, and contribute across the engineering lifecycle from design to sustainment.

Applicants should have a STEM degree with five years of mechanical design experience, GD&T knowledge, and CAD skills (CREO/ProE). A U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and five years of relevant engineering experience, OR an advanced degree in related field and minimum three years of related work experience.
• Minimum five years of experience in mechanical design and/or production support.
• Minimum five years of experience with 3D CAD modeling tools (CREO/ProE preferred).
• Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience creating mechanical drawings or engineering documentation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Create mechanical test systems used across advanced environments—vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF, electro‑optical, etc.
