Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Engineer V - Analysis to lead structural analyses for controllable solid propulsion hardware. You will develop models, run simulations, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams from concept to qualification and production.

The role supports testing, validation, and advanced analysis method development while maintaining clear documentation for stakeholders and leadership. Remote with preferred in-office locations in CA/NV.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Applied Physics or related field with 10+ years of experience OR Masters degree with 8 years.
• Experience with FEA software (Ansys, Femap, Nastran, Abaqus) and linear & nonlinear static, dynamic, and elastic stability analyses.
• Motivated and able to perform duties autonomously without significant supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform stress analysis to quantify safety margins against primary strength failure, fatigue life, and fracture.
• Develop computational models and simulations to predict structural response under high pressures, thermal gradients, and vibrations.
• Collaborate across disciplines to guide design decisions and risk management throughout the hardware lifecycle.
• Support hardware tests for validation and qualification, including static, dynamic, shock, and performance tests.
• Contribute to development of analysis methodologies and tools.
• Stay current with advancements in analysis techniques and materials.
• Document analysis processes and results for diverse stakeholders.
