Job summary

Voyager Technologies, Inc. seeks a Mechanical Engineer V – Structural Analyst for Controllable Solid Propulsion to perform structural analysis across hardware systems from concept to qualification. You will coordinate with mechanical design, materials, systems, and chief engineering teams.

The role reports to the Analysis and M&P Team manager within the Strategic Systems Division. It is remote with a preference for in-office work at Folsom, CA; Reno, NV; Huntsville, AL; or Long Beach, CA, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Applied Physics, or related engineering with 10+ years of experience OR Master’s degree with 8 years.
• Experience with FEA software (Ansys, Femap, Nastran, Abaqus) and linear & nonlinear static, dynamic, and elastic stability analyses.
• Motivated and autonomous with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to define scope and inputs with minimal boundary conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform stress analysis to quantify safety margins against strength failure, fatigue, and fracture.
• Develop computational models and run simulations for high-pressure and thermal environments.
• Collaborate across disciplines to guide design decisions and risk management.
• Support hardware tests and data processing for modeling validation and verification.
• Contribute to development of advanced analysis methodologies and tools.
• Stay current with advancements in analysis techniques and materials.
• Document analysis processes and present results clearly to stakeholders.
