Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a highly skilled engineer to join the In-Space Systems Configuration Team in designing and integrating flight hardware for the Blue Ring spacecraft. You will work on system-level architecture, deployment of payloads, and vehicle upgrades with a small, agile team.

The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance, a BS in aerospace or mechanical engineering, and 5+ years of experience in complex engineered products. Proficiency in CREO and GD&T is essential.

Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and producing complex engineered products.
  • Strong mechanical design and integration skills using 3D CAD software (CREO preferred).
  • Proficient in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing per ASME Y14.5.
  • Ability to build trusting and effective working relationships and deliver results.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the entire design cycle of flight hardware, including conceptual and detailed design, analysis, and drawing release.
  • Generate 3D models, perform spatial integration & packaging activities in collaboration with Integrated Product Teams.
  • Perform trade studies and provide recommended solutions.
  • Generate vehicle alignment & pointing analysis.
  • Coordinate mechanical interfaces and space reservation zones.
  • Calculate spacecraft mass properties.
  • Work in a small, agile team to adapt to changing priorities.
