Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a senior mechanical engineer for a large New Albany, Ohio project focused on a 2.5 million square foot semiconductor facility. You will lead design, development, modification, and evaluation of mechanical components, guiding complex systems from plan to execution.

You will collaborate across Procurement, Construction, Startup, ES&H and Project Controls to ensure quality, budgets and schedules are met while resolving site issues and supporting risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in mechanical engineering.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience, or 12–14 years total experience.
• Progressive experience including supervision and large industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages mechanical design and engineering activities for medium to large scopes.
• Collaborates with procurement, construction, startup, ES&H, and project controls.
• Prepares bid analyses and procurement recommendations for mechanical equipment and services.
• Addresses and resolves field or jobsite mechanical issues.
• Conducts site visits to facilitate information exchange.
